The app we built to run our own partnership.

What we built

Hours, spending approval and profit share in one web app.

The situation

Two people building a business have to agree on who did the work and who gets what. Most small partnerships run on memory and good intentions. That holds until it doesn't.

What we built

An app that holds the parts of the partnership that need to be unambiguous. Hours are logged, not remembered. Targets are set in advance, not justified afterwards. Spending needs both partners to sign off before money moves. Profit share is calculated from counted hours, and settled months lock.

How it works

The same stack we build client apps on: Next.js and Supabase, on any device, both partners seeing the same data. The rules live in the app instead of a document nobody reopens.

What it's changed

It's early, and we're still finding the parts we got wrong. What it has done is remove a category of argument. Nobody reconstructs their week from memory.

Using our own software every day also changes how we build. You notice the step that takes one tap too many. That's the standard we build to for everyone else.

The Partnership Ops hours screen, showing each partner's weekly target, hours logged, and a running timer.

Let's talk about what we could build for you.

About half an hour on your business and whether we're a fit.
